George Town was our first Refresh Your Self retreat open to graduates of both MBSR and Mind Your Self, and we were so glad to be able to embrace you all in our ongoing Mindfulness community events! Six souls found their way to this piece of paradise, and spent the time with Rosy, in the Neighbourhood Centre Shed and its outdoor spaces (thank you weather).

Rosy is an experienced mindfulness and compassion teacher, and lead a variety of shorter practices and reflective sessions using the A-B-C approach:
‘Awareness and allowing’ invited body and breath based practices to land, and ground, at George Town.
‘Balance and being’ practices took the group outside with nature based walking
‘Connection and care’ used belly breathing, soothing hands, lingering with pleasant experiences and finding ways to actively support ourselves to round out the Retreat with self care. Ahhhhh!

Participants then journalled their own ABC words to take away and use as ongoing resources and this was combined with a final discussion of what they had encountered, before mindfully savoring a fragrant rosemary sprig.
Huge thanks to Rosy for facilitating this experience and revisiting her beloved NE Tasmania!
